EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATIONAL HOME/SCHOOL NANNY

The ECE  Nanny MUST SPEAK, READ AND WRITE ENGLISH. The Nanny is responsible for everything relating to the children, such as dressing, bathing, school runs and meals for the children. The Nanny will organize their ‘play-dates’; outings to the zoo/park and other age applicable social activities, supervising & assisting with homework. She will be expected to create a safe environment in which to develop your children to their full potential through educational games, painting, reading and other forms of educational play.

The Nanny should expect to organise the children’s belongings, which includes tidying up/cleaning toys after playing and of course ensuring that the children’s bedrooms, cloths and bathroom are clean and tidy. A  Early Childhood Educational Nanny is not expected to do heavy housework not relating to the child as the children are the main focus. However, other duties around can be agreed on by Parents and Nanny based on the contract.

EDUCATIONAL Nannies are either LIVE IN or LIVE OUT

NANNY HOUSEHOLD

Rookies household Nannies are not expected to have educational background. They are however trained as a nanny to combine household functions. A nanny housekeeper must have great ability to manage time by juggling cooking, children and handling household chores efficiently. NO EMPHASISE ON EDUCATIONAL STIMULATION. Housework is combined with childcare- baby sitting.

WHO IS A GOVERNESS?

A Governess does all the functions of  EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATIONAL  NANNIES with added responsibility to teach and develope educational activities. They are usually diploma or degree holders capable of handling your children’s educational need in a home setting and monitoring their school progress.

A GOVERNESS WILL:

*** They develope routine for the children that include home work and educational activities.

*** Children are taught manners, etiquette and right code of conduct
*** Organise the child’s daily schedule for smooth running.
*** Foĺlow up with the child’s progress in school/or educate the child at home (if required)
*** Communicate child’s progress and activities with parents with recommendation of tutoring if required.
*** Prepare children for exams and school assessments
*** Encourage children to behave appropriately and complete their studies.
*** Ensure the children’s environment evironment is tidy and fed appropriately.
*** Governess are not household Nanny, they are HOME CHILDREN MANAGERS FOR extremely busy parents that need a home professional to fill in.
